Internet wreckage

Is there a term for abandoned web sites? You know the sites that were updated three times a day until a point and then stopped cold. But as you do a search you sometimes stumble upon these ghost towns where someone just abruptly stopped doing any entries in the Donny Most fanclub site or whatever.

There is something sad about these sites, what are they called?

One day this blog will become one as well.
